Renewed style for January 2022!

It has been a while since my last post... So, it’s time to change that! And, with good reason, of course...

For a long time, I was looking for the right direction when it comes to my work and style. But, what that would be…? Not only you can be attracted to a certain style, it also has to bring some ‘potential’ with it, like adding something. Something new. Something like: 'Yes, this could be a really good idea!' So, some time has passed, but from January 2022, the ‘final’ style will finally found its ground...

Backgrounds

In principle, the animals will stay the same: painted in their own natural way. Based on various Instagram polls, most of the votes went for artworks with a background, such as matching botanical elements. Although the natural white backgrounds won’t disappear, in the upcoming year the prints will be much more decorated. Only with themes like farm animals, horses and forest wildlife, you will often see the white background to keep the rustic, countryside-chic look.

Backgrounds are not only perfect to create a certain atmosphere, it also enhances the theme of your interior. Not only because of colour, but also decorative elements like tropical flora. What it will be the upcoming year? Exotic! From 2022, I will put my focus on exotic and tropical animals, ranging from the savannah landscapes of Africa and jungle rich Asia to the Amazon rainforest of South America.

Monkeys, tropical birds, big cats, zebras and other exotic species: they will all introduce themselves to you when 2022 starts! For now, I’m going to finish the latest edits on my website, such as a new and fresh lay-out, and work out some of my latest ideas before officially starting on the new prints. So, I’m going back to work to hopefully start with a very fresh, new site and style in 2022!
