Giclee prints horses
EDITORIAL
Expressive horse portraits with plain backgrounds in old money colours, from summery pastels to warm ochre and autumn orange. A collection that blends classic compositions with an editorial touch, such as a sleek, more graphic background and optional preppy accessories for a modern, fashionable look, released as exclusive limited-edition, high-quality prints, such as giclée and acrylic glass.
The horse as a fashion statement
Horses appear in fashion campaigns all the time. Yet they are always "part of" the picture and never the main subject. Understandable, because a horse in a cable-knit jumper? Perhaps not the best idea... What I did find interesting was to make the horse itself the main subject in a fashion-like context, which led to my Editorial collection.
The Editorial collection features horse portraits in warm earthy tones, combined with plain backgrounds in a more graphic style for a modern look. Although I have always appreciated classic horse portraits, I wanted to create a collection that stands out and feels contemporary, while preserving the classic character of horses.
The horses are depicted true to life, but placed in a more fashion-like context, for example alongside preppy accessories and often sparkling summery colours or soft pastel shades. These works are created in a mixed media style and suit both modern, high-end country interiors and more urban ones.
Are you looking for a horse portrait that has the charm of classic compositions but sits better in a modern setting than the heavy, often old-fashioned works, thanks to my fresh colour palettes and preppy details? Then you will find your favourite in the Editorial Collection.
