THE STORY BEHIND

Ever since I was young, I was extremely attracted to horses, probably because I saw them as giant carrot-loving-teddy bears. So, it wasn’t quite a surprise that I finally went horse riding when I became 6 years old. 

For me, those younger years really couldn’t have been better as I went many times to the forest with the horses alongside my mum and others. Every ride felt quite magical, whether it was a cold day in winter or even riding bareback on a summer evening with even some fairytale-like encounters, such as seeing grazing deer, just a few meters away from us.

Because I have these unforgettable memories, I felt the desire to capture my adoration for horses on paper or canvas, especially with that classic look that I’ve always loved about them. All of my horse paintings in oil and watercolor can therefore be classified as modern-vintage, inspired by the style of British elegance. No landscape or other scenes, just the horse itself.

Since there are many different horse breeds, all with their own kind of look and feel, I love to show the world's diversity, but all within the more classic theme, like mostly portraying sport breeds.
